This announcement contains new information about The G.E.C. 1972 Plan and should be read in conjunction with the scheme booklet (1997 edition).
The facility to pay additional voluntary contributions via SBS to provide additional retirement benefits was withdrawn to new contributors from 5 April 2002.
However, new Additional Voluntary Contribution (AVC) choices were introduced for contributing members of the Plan with effect from 6 April 2002.
The Trustee appointed two leading AVC Investment Management firms - Standard Life Assurance Society and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, and more information can be found in the 'AVC Investment Guide'.
